There are over 700 LLM colleges in India offering specialisations in different areas of law. The top LLM colleges include premier NLUs such as NLU Delhi and NLSIU Bengaluru. In the LLM programme, students have various specialisation options such as business law, criminal law, labour law, and others. The fee depends on the college, programme, location, and many other factors and can vary from Rs 1,530 to Rs 10.84 lakh.
Students who wish to join the LLM programme must fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by the top LLM colleges in India. The eligibility criteria are given below.
Individuals must have completed either a 3-year LLB or a 5-year LLB from a recognised institute.
Candidates must have obtained the minimum prescribed marks as stipulated by the college.
Usually, there is no age limit prescribed for the LLM programme.

CLAT PG: The Common Law Admission Test PG is conducted by the Consortium of NLUs every year for admission into LLM programmes of participating NLUs and affiliated colleges.
CUET LLM: The CUET Law is conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission into LLM programmes of participating central,state and private universities.
AILET PG: The All India Law Entrance Test PG is conducted by NLU Delhi for its LLM admissions.
