AP PGLCET 2017– Sri Krishnadevaraya University on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will be conducting the AP PGLCET 2017 on April 19, 2017. To be held completely online for the first time, the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test 2017 (AP PGLCET) will offer admissions to LLM courses in state law colleges of Andhra Pradesh. AP PGLCET 2017 is expected to see 13 colleges participate in the admission process. 461 seats will be on offer to candidates wishing to pursue their LLM postgraduate degrees. As per the instructions issued by the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education, the AP Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test 2017 and its admissions will be made in strict compliance of the Rules and Regulations of the Sri Krishnadevaraya University, APSCHE and other existing laws and amendments. PGLCET was the earlier single entrance exam through which all admissions to the Post Graduate law courses in state colleges and Universities in the state of Andhra Pradesh used to take place. Since Telangana’s formation in 2014, the PGLCET exam was also split into separate ones held state-wise: TS PGLCET and AP PGLCET. Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati was the centre for the last unified PGLCET exam in 2014 and since then, AP PGLCET exam has been conducted by the Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur.

Candidates applying for admission to LLM courses in state law colleges of Andhra Pradesh must fulfill the AP PGLCET 2017 eligibility criteria as laid down by APSCHE. The eligibility criteria for AP PGLCET are the set of guidelines specifying the qualifying degree and minimum marks required for admission to Post Graduate law courses in Andhra Pradesh. Candidates who do not fulfill the AP PGLCET 2017 eligibility requirements will not be given admission to the LLM programmes.
Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapuramu, on behalf of APSCHE, has opened the application forms of AP PGLCET 2017 in online mode from February 18, 2017. Candidates applying for AP PGLCET 2017 are requested to keep ready the important details that will be required when filling the AP PGLCET Application Form. Only the correct information must be entered by the candidates and all the required entries in the application form of PGLCET must be filled without fail. The information required includes candidate’s parents’ names, gender, mobile number, community, category, choice of examination centre and the digital versions of candidate’s photograph and signature. An application fee of Rs. 800 will also have to be submitted by the candidate through either an AP Online Centre or Credit/Debit Card options. Candidates should submit their application forms before the Andhra Pradesh law exam last date of March 18, or additional late fees will be charged. An AP PGLCET 2017 registration number will be generated upon successful submission of the form. This should be used by the candidate for all future correspondence.
AP PGLCET will be held on April 19, 2017, as declared by APSCHE. To be organized by Sri Krishnadevaraya University, the postgraduate Law Entrance Test will serve as the single entrance test for all courses of LLM in Andhra Pradesh state law colleges. PGLCET will be held completely online from this year onwards. AP PGLCET 2017 exam pattern will consist of 120 questions over a duration of 90 minutes. Each question will carry one mark and there will be no negative marking. The exam pattern for AP PGLCET 2017 will provide candidates with an idea about the paper structure, including the duration of the test and the relevant sections.
APSCHE has begun to issue admit cards for AP PGLCET 2017 from April 14 onwards. The PGLCET Admit Card will contain all the details entered online by the candidate in the AP PGLCET application form. The candidates for the LLM programmes can download their AP PGLCET 2017 admit cards by entering the required details, which include their AP PGLCET application/registration number and candidate’s date of birth. The AP PGLCET Admit Card will also serve as the exam hall ticket will contain important information for the candidate including the exam centre, time of exam and roll number. Candidates will not be allowed to write AP PGLCET 2017 without their PGLCET Admit Cards.
AP PGLCET 2017 will be held at sixteen exam centres across Andhra Pradesh state. Candidates can select their preferred centre when filling the AP PGLCET Application Form online. Once allotted, the candidate’s AP PGLCET Exam Centre will not be changed due to any reason. AP PGLCET 2017 Exam Centres shows the candidates which exam centres they can choose from for the exam.
The answer key for AP PGLCET 2017 along with the AP PGLCET Exam Paper and individual response sheets of the candidates has been released in online mode on April 25. The AP PGLCET Answer Key will be useful for candidates to cross-refer with their AP PGLCET Response Sheet as per the questions in the AP PGLCET Exam Paper. The answer key will allow them to estimate their scores in the post graduate law entrance before the AP PGLCET Result is declared. The AP PGLCET Answer key will also allow them the time to check for discrepancies and file objections within the stipulated date of April 29. APSCHE will release the final answer key for AP PGLCET 2017 along with the AP PGLCET 2017 Result.
The Result of AP PGLCET will be announced by Sri Krishnadevaraya University on behalf of APSCHE by the first week of May 2017. The APSCHE will prepare a merit list for the LLM programmes on the basis of the marks secured by candidates in the AP PGLCET 2017 Result. The Final Answer Key for AP PGLCET 2017 will also be released with the AP PGLCET Result. The AP PGLCET Result and Final Answer Key can be downloaded by the candidate by entering their AP PGLCET 2017 hall ticket number.
The Rank Card for PGLCET 2017 will be released by Sri Krishnadevaraya University one week after the AP PGLCET Result 2017 is declared. Candidates can enter their Hall Ticket number to download the rank card and see their detailed AP PGLCET score. The AP PGLCET Rank Card will only be valid for the 2017-18 admission year. Candidates who are not from the SC/ST categories will have to score a minimum of 25% out of the 120 marks available in the Law Entrance Test to be considered as eligible for AP PGLCET ranking.
Sri Krishnadevaraya University will organize counselling for AP PGLCET 2017 candidates through online mode. The AP PGLCET Counselling will be based on the rank list prepared on the basis of marks secured by candidates in AP PGLCET 2017. AP PGLCET Counselling 2017 is expected to take place in the third week of August. The counselling process requires candidates to register online by entering necessary details including their AP PGLCET Application Number, AP PGLCET Hall Ticket Number, a password and their date of birth. Candidates will be able to choose in order of preference their college, course and course type by exercising the online counselling web options. The allotments made through the AP PGLCET Counselling will be final and will be informed via SMS. Candidates will have to report rank-wise to the given AP PGLCET help line centres for document and certificate verification. PGLCET SC/ST candidates will have to pay Rs. 500 as counselling registration processing fee, while all the other candidates will have to pay Rs. 1000.
