What is HP-NLET?
HPNET or HP-NLET is the law entrance test which will be administered for the first time by Himachal Pradesh National Law University. The HPNLU administered law entrance test will be held on May 21, 2017 for offering admissions to the undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. The NLU of Himachal Pradesh, located at Dhami in Shimla district was established in the year 2016.

HPNET/ HP-NLET Admit Card 2017
HPNLU will be issuing the admit card of HPNET 2017 for all candidates from the evening of May 5 onwards. Only candidates whose application forms have been submitted by the new last date of April 20 will have their HPNET 2017 admit cards issued. HPNET admit card will be regarded as hall tickets to appear in HP-NLET, the law entrance test administered by Himachal Pradesh NLU. HP-NLET 2017 hall tickets (admit card) will be issued online and will mention candidature details including roll number, name, date of birth and photograph of the candidates besides detailing the examination date, timing, duration of the HPNLU admission test and exam centre with complete address. Candidates are required to carry the HPNET admit card along with a valid identity proof at the test venue on the examination day, else they will be debarred from appearing in HP National Law Entrance Test.
HPNET/ HP-NLET Eligibility Criteria 2017
The Himachal Pradesh NLU has announced eligibility criteria of HPNET 2017 along with notifying the law entrance test. According to the HPNET eligibility criteria, candidates applying for BA/BBA LLB (Hons.) should have passed 10+2 or equivalent board examination in one attempt with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST), and those applying for LLM postgraduate law programme should possess a LL.B degree obtained with 55% aggregate marks.

Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria as mentioned above can fill application form of HPNET 2017. Himachal Pradesh NLU has begun HPNET 2017 application form (HP-NLET application process) from January 21 which can be filled online and needs to be submitted by the new extended date of April 20, 2017 (changed from April 8). The candidates will need to have a valid e-mail id, an active mobile number and scanned copies of their photograph and signature, before they begin filling application form for HP NLU Entrance Test (HP-NLET). Candidates will have to register for HP-NLET 2017 and then can proceed to the application process with the HPNLU registration id and password. Candidates also need to pay an application fee for HPNET 2017. The application fees can be paid in any of the online payment options– Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card. Candidates should note that no applications can be submitted after the last date of applications and no communication in this regard will be entertained under any circumstances.

HPNET/ HP-NLET Exam Pattern 2017
HPNLU has announced exam pattern of HPNET 2017 on January 17. Candidates need to know HPNET 2017 exam pattern, if they are appearing for National Law Entrance Test of Himachal Pradesh (HP-NLET). HPNET exam pattern will help them in understanding the paper pattern for the HP NLU admission test which is being held for the very first time on May 21, 2017. Candidates can prepare well for the Himachal Pradesh NLU administered law entrance test if they go through the HPNET exam pattern (paper pattern of HP-NLET). The HP-NLET exam pattern will mention the structure of question paper and marks breakage besides marking scheme of the law entrance examination. According to HPNET exam pattern, HPNLU will be conducting the 150 mark law entrance test for both undergraduate as well as postgraduate law programmes. HPNET/ HP-NLET Exam Centres 2017
The NLU of Himachal Pradesh has also announced exam centres of HPNET 2017. Candidates are required to know HPNET 2017 exam centres as it’ll help them in choosing the most convenient centre to appear for HP-NLET. According to the list of HPNET exam centres, HPNLU will be conducting the HP national law entrance test at various exam centres located in as many as 19 cities of India. The HPNLU applicants will be intimated regarding their exam centres of HPNET through their HP-NLET 2017 admit cards. Candidates must note that no HP-NLET examination centre/testing location/exam venue will be changed under any circumstances, if the same has been once allotted, and no further communication in this regard will be entertained by the HPNLU admission office. Himachal Pradesh National Law University will be announcing result of HPNET 2017 for BA/BBA LLB (Hons.) candidates on June 1, 2017, and for LLM candidates on June 3, 2017. HPNET 2017 result will specify the qualifying status of the candidates who will be appearing in the HP-NLET. Moreover, Himachal Pradesh NLU will also be issuing a merit list along with HPNET results, which will mention the All India Rank as well as State Rank of all the appearing test takers of the National Law Entrance Test of Himachal Pradesh. Besides the merit list, candidates can also download their respective rank card of HP-NLET 2017 after checking their HPNET results. The results of HPNLU administered law exam will also mention the candidates’ section-wise marks and overall marks.
