Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University offers admissions into undergraduate law programmes through IPU CET Law 2017. IPU CET Law 2017 admission process begins with the notification of the exam, followed by application process, issue of admit card, conduct of exam and result declaration. Once the result of IPU CET Law 2017 is declared, candidates are invited for attending counselling based on the merit secured by them. The counselling is held online where candidates need to register for the process and choose their preferred college. The university admission council then allots seats to the candidates based on their marks and preferred choice. Once the seat is allotted candidate is needed to submit the fees for confirming the seat. The entire admission process of IPU CET Law 2017 ends in the month of August with the commencement of classes.

Candidates need to read eligibility criteria of IPU CET Law 2017 before filling the LLB application form of Indraprastha University. IPU CET Law 2017 eligibility criteria mentions minimum conditions required to apply for the university level law entrance examination. The IPU CET eligibility criteria specify that a candidate needs to have passed 10+2 board examination from a recognised institution with English as compulsory subject. The minimum marks required is 50% in the aggregate of the subjects studied in the 12th board examination. Moreover, the university is also bound to implement the age criteria from this year after BCI’s order on age bar for admissions to undergraduate law programmes.
GGSIPU had begun application form of IPU CET Law 2017 in February as the candidates were needed to register online for generating user id and password. IPU CET Law 2017 application form could be filled only online. Candidates needed to fill all the fields of IPU CET Law application forms including personal information, educational qualification and uploading of photograph and signature. Candidates also needed to pay Rs. 1000 as application fee for IPU CET Law 2017. The fee for IPU CET Law 2017 applications could be paid in any of the modes–online and offline using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ Demand Draft. The application form of IPU CET Law 2017, complete in all respects could be submitted till April 18, 2017. The partially filled IPU CET Law 2017 application forms would be summarily rejected and those submitted after the last date would not be entertained.
Indraprastha University has issued admit card of IPU CET Law 2017 online. Candidates can download IPU CET Law 2017 admit card after accessing their IPU CET Law login accounts by providing their user id and password. The IPU CET Law admit card is considered as hall ticket to appear in the university level law exam of GGSIPU. The hall tickets (admit cards) of IPU CET Law 2017 are needed to be carried at the examination centre along with a valid identity proof in order to appear for the IPU LLB entrance exam. Admit Card of IPU CET Law 2017 mentions examination as well as candidature details including exam roll number, centre address, timing and name besides other printed instructions. Candidates will not be allowed to appear for the law exam without IPU CET Law 2017 admit card (e-admission card/ hall ticket).
GGSIPU will be conducting IPU CET Law 2017 on May 6 at various exam centres. The IPU LLB entrance examination will be held in paper pen mode where candidates will have to answer as many as 150 questions carrying four marks each. The time allotted to finish the test will be 150 minutes as the university level LLB entrance exam will begin at 2:00 pm. GGSIPU follows a negative marking policy under which every wrong answer will lead to deduction of one mark from the total scored marks. Candidates will be required to answer a question with only one option among those given. Questions responded with more than one answer option will be liable for negative marking.
Candidates can check result for IPU CET Law 2017 on May 23 as GGSIPU has announced the results of the law entrance exam along with issuing merit list and score cards of common entrance test for undergraduate law admissions. IPU CET Law 2017 result will provide qualifying status in the university level LLB entrance exam. While IPU CET LLB results will provide name, roll number and exam qualifying status, candidates can check their All India Rank through the merit list and scores of the exam through IPU CET LLB score card.
The university will be announcing cut off for IPU CET Law 2017 after the announcement of results. IPU CET Law 2017 cut off rank will be considered the maximum rank to qualify for admissions in the undergraduate law programmes offered in the university colleges. Candidates need to note that the IPU CET law cut off for each of the offered programmes will vary for different colleges affiliated to GGSIPU. The cut off rank of IPU CET LLB programmes will also be different for each round of admissions. IPU CET Law 2017 cut off will depend on four elements– total number of appearing candidates, maximum scored marks, minimum scored marks and previous year cut off trends. IPU CET Law Counselling 2017
Admissions into the UG law programmes including BA LLB and BBA LLB across the GGSIPU associated law colleges will be done through counselling of IPU CET Law 2017. The university will be organising an online IPU CET Law 2017 counselling for offering seats to the shortlisted candidates based on their law entrance examination marks. Moreover, the IPU CET Law counselling will be carried on inter-se-merit as prepared by the university during result declaration. IPU CET Law 2017 counselling process involves various steps including online registration for participating in admission counselling, choice locking of seats, fee submission and document verification. The candidates will need to report in person at the allotted college for seeking admissions in the LLB programmes on a specified date. The counselling of IPU CET Law 2017 may be organised for as many as three rounds excluding a spot round counselling.
