MH CET Law Important Dates 2017

 

DHE, Maharashtra State will be announcing important dates of MH CET Law 2017 as the notification for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for law programmes will be announced in February and the application for MH CET Law 2017 will begin on March 30. The law entrance exam (MH CET Law 2017) for admissions to five-year and three-year law programmes will be conducted on different dates, i.e., May 20 for five-year integrated law programmes and May 21, 2017 for LLB programme. The results of MH CET Law 2017 will be announced on May 30, 2017 along with the issuance of merit list and score card. MH CET Law 2017 counselling will then be held between June and August, even as the classes at law colleges will begin from the same month.

MH CET Law Eligibility Criteria 2017

 

The DHE Maharashtra State will specify eligibility criteria of MH CET Law 2017 in the examination notification. Candidates applying for MH CET Law 2017 need to go through the eligibility criteria which mention academic qualification and minimum scores as well as age to appear for the undergraduate law programmes– 3-year LL.B and 5-year integrated LL.B. As per the BCI’s new age bar regulation, candidates from General category need to be less than 20 years of age and those from SC, ST and Other backward classes below 22 years, if applying for five-year integrated law programmes. Moreover, General category candidates applying for three-year law programmes should be below 30 years of age and those from SC, ST and OBC categories are given five years relaxation in upper age limit.


MH CET Law Application Form 2017

 

DHE Maharashtra will begin application form of MH CET Law 2017 on March 31 which can be filled and submitted till May 1 (changed from April 26) 2017. Earlier, the MH CET Law application form was to be available on March 30 but was postponed by a day. Candidates can check MH CET Law 2017 application process including online registration and fee payment. Before applying for MH CET Law 2017, candidates need to register online by providing details like name, date of birth, e-mail id and mobile number. Once a candidate has registered for Common Entrance Test of Maharashtra State law programmes, he/ she can fill MH CET Law 2017 application form along with uploading photograph and signature. Candidates also need to pay an application fee of Rs. 650 (Rs. 350 for SC, ST and reserved categories of Maharashtra State) in online mode before submitting the application form.


MH CET Law Admit Card 2017

 

Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra State will be issuing admit card of MH CET Law 2017 on May 9. MH CET Law 2017 admit card can be downloaded through the login account of candidates. The MH CET Law admit card is considered as the hall ticket for appearing in the state level law entrance exam as it mentions candidature and examination details including roll number of the candidate, exam date and timings besides the address of the exam centre. Candidates are required to save a copy of MH CET Law 2017 admit card for future correspondence as no duplicate admit cards will be generated once the examination has been conducted.


MH CET Law Syllabus 2017

 

Candidates appearing for the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test law programmes are required to go through and understand syllabus of MH CET Law 2017. The exam pattern of MH CET Law 2017 will provide you information regarding the examination paper, number of questions, their marks and marking scheme. MH CET Law 2017 exam pattern will be different for both the programmes– 3-year LLB and 5-year integrated LLB.


MH CET Law Exam Centres 2017

 

DHE Maharashtra will be announcing the exam centres of MH CET Law 2017 along with the examination notification. Candidates will be asked to choose at most three of the MH CET Law 2017 exam centres while filling the application form. The examination conducting body then will be allotting a MH CET Law exam centre as per the choices preferred by the candidates. No exam centre of MH CET Law 2017 will be changed once allotted by the examination authority. Candidates will be intimated about their MH CET Law 2017 exam centres (test city) and their complete address through the issued admit card. Candidates are advised to reach their MH CET Law exam centres 2017 at least 30 minutes prior to the mentioned reporting time on the admit card.


MH CET Law Sample Paper 2017

 

Candidates appearing in Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for law programmes need to solve sample papers of MH CET Law which will help them in familiarising with the type of questions expected in the state level law entrance examination. MH CET Law Answer Key 2017

 

DHE Maharashtra may announce MH CET Law 2017 answer key after the state level law entrance examination has been conducted. The examination, however, will be conducted online and there are minimal chances that the answer key of MH CET Law 2017 is announced. MH CET Law answer key, if announced will help test takers in checking the correct answers to the state level law entrance exam and also their marks as per the answer key.


MH CET Law Result 2017

 

Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra will be announcing result of MH CET Law 2017 on May 30. The examination body will be announcing online results for each of the law programmes– three-year and five-year integrated. Candidates can download their rank card along with checking MH CET Law 2017 results through the official link available. Candidates will have to provide their Common Entrance Exam Roll Number/ Registration Number to check the MH CET Law results.


MH CET Law Merit List (Rank List) 2017

 

DHE Maharashtra will be announcing merit list of MH CET Law 2017 on May 30. There will be separate rank list or merit list for each of the undergraduate law programmes- three-year and five-year integrated. Candidates will be called upon by their secured MH CET Law merit (rank) as per the list for the counselling and admission process. MH CET Law 2017 merit list will specify candidates’ name, roll number, scored marks and merit obtained for the applied law programme.


MH CET Law Cut off 2017

 

The examination conducting body will be calculating cut off for MH CET Law 2017 admissions. The test takers who secure more marks than the specified cut off of MH CET Law in the state level law entrance examination will be called upon to attend counselling for admissions into the undergraduate law programmes. MH CET Law 2017 cut off is the minimum marks required to seek admissions in the law programmes offered at various state colleges of Maharashtra state.


MH CET Law Counselling and Seat Allotment 2017

 

DHE Maharashtra will be holding counselling for MH CET Law 2017 from June, where the exam qualifying candidates will be called upon for Centralised Admission Process (CAP). The candidates will have to first register online through their login id for the MH CET Law 2017 counselling process. Once they have registered for online counselling of MH CET Law 2017, they will have to provide their choice options for the colleges after which a list will be issued declaring the name of candidates, who have to deposit the fees at the respective colleges after undergoing document verification process. After the colleges have uploaded the status of seats along with the admitted students’ list, the remaining candidates will be offered another chance to participate in the second round of MH CET Law counselling. In this way, as many as six rounds of counselling will be held for MH CET Law 2017.

MH CET Law Seats and Reservation 2017

 

DHE Maharashtra will be offering reservation benefits to candidates belonging to the reserved categories including SC, ST and OBC. However, they should belong to the Maharashtra state, which means a candidate from any of these reserved categories but belonging to other state or Union Territory of India will not be able to avail the benefits and will be treated as General/ Open Category candidates. The following percentage of seats will be reserved for each of these categories -

  1. OBC – 27 per cent of total seats

  2. SC – 15 per cent of total seats

  3. ST – 7.5 per cent of total seats
