OIL recruitment through CLAT 2017: General Information
i. Candidates need to fill only online applications for OIL recruitment 2017.
ii. Candidates applying for Oil India Limited need to have mandatorily registered for CLAT 2017.
iii. Candidates need to provide active e-mail id and working mobile number (same as furnished in CLAT 2017 applications) as future correspondences will be made through these communication media only.
iv. Candidates applying for OIL recruitment through CLAT 2017 need to be Indian citizens.
v. Candidates need to fulfil eligibility criteria for OIL recruitment else the candidature may get cancelled.
vi. The candidates should have passed through the institution duly recognised by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)/ University Grants Commission (UGC) and Bar Council of India (BCI).
vii. The shortlisted candidates for GD/PI rounds will have to bring their CLAT score cards at the venue.
viii. The OBC candidates belonging to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) will only be entitled for reservation benefits, however those from Creamy Layer will not be entitled for the concession admissible under OBC category.
ix. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD will have to bring their respective certificates at the GD/PI and submit the same. It must be noted that the need to be certificates should be in English/ Hindi languages else they will have to submit a self-certified translated copy of the same at the time of GD/PI.
x. Candidates applying against PwD category can avail the benefits only if they have a certificate issued for 40% or more disability.
OIL recruitment through CLAT 2017: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need to go through the eligibility criteria before filling in applications for OIL recruitment through CLAT. The eligibility criteria for OIL recruitment mentions minimum required academic qualification, essential qualification and age limit besides the minimum passing marks required for filling OIL Executive Trainee (Law) recruitment 2017 applications.
Candidates need to hold a full time Bachelor’s Degree in LLB or equivalent either after pursuing three-year or five-year integrated law programmes. The law programmes should be recognised by UGC/ AICTE and BCI.
Those who are in the final year of their degree programmes can also apply for OIL recruitment through CLAT 2017. However, they will have to provide their degree certificate at the time of GD/PI.
Candidates applying through CLAT in OIL against Executive Trainee in Legal/ Land positions need to have passed the LLB degree (3-year or 5-year integrated) with 60% or more marks.
The percentage of marks will be calculated in aggregate of all semesters.
In case of marks awarded in CGPA/ OGPA/ DGPA or Letter Grade, the equivalent percentage of marks need to indicated in the OIL 2017 recruitment application form.
The rounding off of percentage of marks will not be allowed for OIL 2017 recruitment through CLAT.

OIL recruitment through CLAT 2017: Selection Process
The eligible candidates will have to fill CLAT 2017 application form.
Once CLAT 2017 results have been announced, the candidates will be shortlisted for the second stage of OIL recruitment 2017 on the basis of their CLAT scores.
In the second stage of OIL recruitment, candidates will have to appear for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
Oil India Limited will accept only scores of CLAT 2017.
