AILET Reservation Criteria 2027

NLU Delhi is likely to open the AILET 2027 application form in the first week of August 2026. Interested candidates can register online by visiting the official website: nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. To complete the AILET 2027 application process, candidates must pay the registration fee, which is Rs. 3000 for the general category and Rs. 1000 for SC/ST candidates. BPL candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories are exempted from the application fees for AILET 2027. Candidates must submit the application form before the specified deadline.

Step 1: Online registration - Candidates need to visit the official website of NLU Delhi - nludelhi.ac.in. Then, click on 'Register to Apply Now ', and create a signup or login account by providing details such as name, email ID, password, date of birth, mobile number, and contact address.

Step 2: Select the law course - As the AILET 2027 exam is conducted for undergraduate as well as postgraduate law courses, candidates should first select the course in the application form - BA LLB, LLM, or PhD. After the selection of the course, candidates should click on 'Apply Now' to move to the next step.

They can pay the application fee using a credit card, Debit Card, or Net Banking option through an online payment gateway. Or, if the candidate wants to pay the application fee in offline mode, then they have to select 'Cash Deposit at post office' as the mode of payment.

The duration of the exam has been increased to 120 minutes. The total marks in the AILET LLM exam are 150, with 0.25 marks being deducted for every wrong answer.

National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) will declare the AILET 2027 a few weeks after the exam is conducted. NLU Delhi publishes the AILET 2027 cut-off through merit lists for each round of counselling. The AILET cut-off is expressed as the rank of the last candidate selected from a particular category in a particular round. Those candidates who obtain the AILET cut-off 2027 and are included in the merit list have to accept the seat and complete the admission formalities by paying the course fee. Candidates who fail to pay the admission fee or fail to complete the admission formalities will forfeit their seat.

Candidates who do not meet the AILET cutoff 2027 in a particular round will be waitlisted and be eligible for selection in the subsequent round. However, if the candidate misses the final round cut-off rank, he/she will effectively be out of the admissions process.

NLU Delhi will notify the AILET 2027 counselling schedule after declaring the AILET results. Candidates in the ratio of three times the number of seats receive AILET 2027 counselling invites. Such candidates must log in to their account and complete AILET 2027 counselling registration by paying the counselling registration fee.

Step 1: Check AILET invite list 2027- The university first releases the list of shortlisted candidates for AILET counselling after declaring the result. Only those candidates who receive the invitation will be eligible to appear in the counselling.

Step 2: AILET 2027 counselling registration - Invited candidates must log in to their AILET account to complete counselling registration online. Such candidates also have to pay the counselling registration fee and print the acknowledgement slip for future reference.

Step 3: Provisional admission list for AILET 2027 - Once the registration window is closed, the university will release the course-wise provisional AILET 2027 merit list for each round of counselling. The merit list is provisional, and such candidates are required to complete the admission formalities to finalise their admission.

Step 4: Admission fee payment - Shortlisted candidates must pay the counselling fees and then pay the remaining admission fees within the deadline.
